A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted with Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges after the jailhouse death of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by investigating officers.
Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were seized.
