Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft flying near a crowded coastal shoreline unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, finally dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Videos shared online depict the helicopter starting to spin above Huntington Beach then descending towards the border of the shore, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a steps adjacent to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Details
Local firefighters said five individuals were transported to a medical facility involving two who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on that day.
Three persons on the street were injured. Details on their condition were not immediately available.
